It is amazing to listen to the arguments. No matter what side you are on, the lawyers and the justices are incredibly smart and capable people. The arguments and questions are brilliant give and take, very unlike the congressional and candidate debate on the issue.

Science and learning who we are and where we came from goes beyond dollars and cents. With the end of the shuttle, we transition to unmanned exploration. This project is important. By all means, hold the spenders to account, but do not kill the project.

"Charly"is a movie that stays with me over 40 years after first viewing it. Robertson was class incarnate as both the mentally disable Charly and as the genius he briefly became. A loss to the film industry.

Poverty is not a matter of ideology. Someone who makes $11,000 is poor, plain and simple. regardless of whether they have a freezer or a color TV. It is a national shame when we seek to blame or forget those who are truly needy.

It is most unfortunate that the Cat had to be Walked Back in the first place. Gov. Barbour, like Trent Lott during the Strom Thurmond dinner, made careless comments that are insensitive to the suffering and hardships faced by African Americans in a very troubled time in American history.
